A Mailbox is needed for Lucy to check for orders. There are couple of options to consider here.

Account Email Address

When you sign up for a Lucy Trial, we provide you with a free mailbox to get you started. This will be a new Office365 account that Lucy will use to read your orders from and the account Email Address will typically be yourbusinessname@letlucy.biz.

As this mailbox will exist outside of your local network, you'll need to start thinking about how best to get your future orders into that mailbox.

Some of our existing customers start by forwarding their customer order emails and others wish to keep their existing practice and have setup the ability for their current mailbox to redirect the orders to the new Lucy mailbox.

Either is absolutely fine, you just need to ensure that your original customers email address is kept as the 'From' address. That way Lucy will know which Trading Partner to assign the order to.

Lucy's High Availability Mode

Once you have completed your trial, you can choose to continue using your new Office365 account or you can elect to use Lucy's High Availability Mode with your own mailbox. Think of this as a partnership between Lucy and your existing Primary Sales Mailbox where you would receive the bulk of your electronic orders. With this mode engaged, Lucy will look at all of the new mail that arrives and then she'll let your Customer Service Reps know if she is unable to process it, thus removing the need for your team to have to manually move emails around.

To discuss this further, please get in touch via support@letlucy.com

To engage Lucy's High Availability Mode for your oganisation, please consider that we will require the following...

Mail server

The host name for the incoming mail server. You can use the basic format (mail.example.com), or the full path (https://mail.example.com:923).

Account Type

Lucy currently supports IMAP and POP account types.

We recommend IMAP as this method allows the messages to be stored on a remote server, allowing synchronisation to multiple devices.

POP accounts generally download the message to your device and then the messages are normally deleted from the server.

Mail Account User Name

The username for your Lucy mailbox account.

Mail Account Password

The password for your Lucy mailbox account.
