Handling generic email addresses from Subject

Lucy can find the names of trading partners from the subject line of a forwarded email. To set this up is exactly the same as https://letlucy.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/HELP/pages/2370174977. Please read through that page first to understand the setup.

Take this email header from a generic forwarded email below.

messaging-service@post.xero.com is a provider who forwards email from multiple trading partners. Normally we’d identify the name of the trading partner in the from line, however for this case there is no identifying name available.

Instead, we can match names found in the subject. For this example, the receive from email address name for the trading partner is Generic Goods.

To set this up we simply include this name from the subject in the email details of the trading partner as shown.
