Infrastructure - What's Required for PRONTO

For those with a curious mind, learn about system requirements and application access required during setup for PRONTO. 



The Lucy onboarding process will be smooth sailing for you and your team. We perform the bulk of the technical setup, letting you get on with testing and Go Live sooner.

Naturally, this setup phase calls for access to some systems & applications within your organisation.

The following information is designed for your organisation's IT or Infrastructure team to ensure various system requirements are met.

Checklist

  • Provide Remote Access to Lucy Team
  • Lucy Team installs Lucy Integration Client (may require update of .NET framework and reboot of Integrator PC)
  • Provide PRONTO Access to Lucy Team
  • Lucy Team installs PRONTO driver to allow Lucy to create Sales Orders

Remote Access

    • Direct remote access to the Server/PC hosting the Integrator
    • Windows VPN (preferred method)
    • Other VPN (e.g. Cisco, Citrix)


Integrator

The integrator hardware consists of a PC that resides on your internal network with a connection to both the ERP server and the Internet. Its purpose is to synchronise data between your ERP and Lucy.

    • PC or Server (Virtual or Physical Machine)
    • This cannot be using Terminal Services

Software / Account Access

    • Operating Systems supported - Windows 7, Windows 8, Server 2008, Windows 2012 and newer.

      • The integrator requires at least .NET 4.7.2 to be installed
      • Windows Server platforms (2008, 2012 and newer) require at least, Framework 3.5 and 4/4.5 to be enabled in the ASP.NET Feature

    • A named user with local administrator access. This is required to install the integrator software and access the Computer Services console.
      • If the user password is set to expire periodically, please provide a service account that doesn't expire - the application runs as a service and will require a working account at all times.
    • Access to PRONTO (via Pro Client) or other ERP as required.

    • The Integrator server requires access to the following services:
      • Internet - Port 443 (https) outbound access
      • PRONTO - outbound connection to the PRONTO server on Ports 9877 and 9878
        • the Integrator server will also need to receive connection from PRONTO.

Recommended ERP Access

    • User ID & Password for Lucy (you will advise us of details)
    • Access to LIVE and TEST Databases
    • PRONTO Level 8 access
    • Access to debtors, stock and sales order enquiries (or full access if you are OK with this)
    • Shell access
    • Recommended access for driver and program updates.
    • Details of which data directory we should integrate to for Lucy (e.g. /home/720/pronto/live/)
